ChatGPT

With ChatGPT, ByteMate can automatically reply in chat and adopt its own personality. Responses are posted directly in Twitch chat and use the currently selected chat identity (see the Account page).

Dashboard overview

On this page you set up ChatGPT, define the personality, control replies on mention and random replies, and manage the $(ai ...) variable. Changes only apply after saving.

Activation

Enable or disable ChatGPT for the channel in the first box. The feature requires a Premium Plus subscription for ByteMate.

Personality

Describe the AI's tone and role for your channel in up to 2000 characters. If left empty, ByteMate uses the default personality (friendly, helpful, respectful, neutral tone, short and clear answers to chat questions).

$(ai ...) variable

Enables AI responses inside dashboard features such as commands, timers, alerts, and triggers. Example: $(ai Write a shoutout for {streamer}). Works only if ChatGPT is enabled overall.

Replies on mention

When enabled, the bot reacts to messages where it is mentioned and posts an AI response. Works only if ChatGPT is enabled overall.

You can also enable Send replies as /me. Replies are then posted as action messages (colored).

Random replies

The bot can occasionally join the chat without a direct mention and reply to random chatters. The probability per chat message is configurable (0 to 100 percent). Dashboard recommendation: 1 to 5 percent for occasional interjections without spam.

Save

Don't forget to save at the bottom of the page after making changes. The status shows whether there are unsaved changes.
