Account

In the Account section you find all global settings around your ByteMate login, Premium, and the bot's chat identity.

Profile & account data

  • Overview of avatar, name, email, and language
  • Account creation date

Premium status

  • Status (active/inactive) and runtime of your Premium
  • Current plan including notes about gift or cancellation status
  • Direct link to Manage Premium or Upgrade
  • Supporter badge: While your Premium is active, your public pages – command list, quotes and donation page – show the Supports ByteMate badge. This happens automatically, there's nothing to switch on.

Linked accounts

Here you see all connected accounts including user ID. In addition to your Twitch account, you can also connect donation platforms here.

Connect Ko-Fi

  1. Go to ko-fi.com → click More in the left sidebar → API.
  2. Paste the displayed Webhook URL into your Ko-Fi settings.
  3. Click Advanced and copy your Verification Token.
  4. Paste the token into the dashboard dialog and click Connect.

Optional: You can enter your Ko-Fi username – it is only used for display in this list.

Connect Tipeeestream

  1. In your Tipeeestream account, go to the Developers menu item.
  2. Copy your API key.
  3. Enter the API key and your Twitch login name in the dashboard dialog and click Connect.

Once both platforms are connected, you can configure in the Subathon settings how many seconds per €/$ donated are added to the timer. Chat notifications for donations can be configured under Chat Alerts.

Chat identity

  • ByteMate (default): replies/timers appear as ByteMate
  • Streamer account (Premium): messages appear as you
  • Custom bot account (Premium): connect and select an additional Twitch account
  • Check mod status for the bot and set Mod via button

Note: If your custom bot account token expires, a banner is shown in the dashboard. Click Reconnect there to re-link the account.

Manage mod permissions

  • Set detailed permissions for access to the various subpages per mod
  • Grant or remove all permissions for all mods at once
  • Add users manually: Grant dashboard access to people who are not Twitch moderators
  • Manually added users can be removed at any time (via X button)
  • Additional permissions: Permissions that don't belong to a single page sit in their own section – among them Manage media (upload files to the media library and delete them, used by bingo sounds, donation sounds, sound commands and the Overlay Builder) and Sound commands (create, edit, delete and test sound commands in OBS) and Title & category (change the stream title and category in the Cockpit – Twitch saves the change through your account). All three are off by default.
  • Only for you as the channel owner, regardless of permissions: adding or removing the bot, deleting or importing all watchtime entries, the clip link for other bots including Rotate token, and disconnecting Discord. Your mods don't see these buttons.
  • Twitch mods get their access through Twitch. If you take someone's mod role away there, they lose dashboard access within a day at the latest.
  • ByteMate AI: In newly connected channels this permission is off by default. In channels that have been connected to ByteMate for a while, it stays as it was.
  • Giveaways, Interactions and Subathon each have their own permission and no longer depend on the Dashboard permission. If you had taken the Dashboard permission away from a mod, these three are switched off for them as well.

Newsletter

  • Enable or disable the newsletter via toggle
  • Newsletter becomes active after clicking the confirmation link
  • Resend the confirmation email if needed

Delete account

  • Permanently delete your account
  • All your settings and data will be irreversibly removed
  • Any active Premium subscription ends immediately
