Mod Tool

The Mod Tool bundles moderation across multiple channels into a single interface.

Dashboard overview

On this page you run actions for multiple users and choose multiple channels. Progress and results are shown live, and running actions can be canceled.

Features

In the Mod Tool you can centrally manage bans, timeouts, unbans, and suspicious statuses. You enter the affected users, choose the channels, set an optional reason, and a timeout duration (including presets).

Suspicious users

Use the Suspicious actions to mark a user as Active monitoring or Restricted. The dropdown also includes a Both option which applies both statuses. The Remove suspicious (both) action clears all suspicious statuses for the user in the selected channels.

Channel favorites

You can mark channels as favorites by clicking the star icon next to a channel. Favorited channels appear at the top of the channel list.

The Select favorites button selects all your favorited channels at once. Once all favorites are selected, the button switches to Deselect favorites — clicking it again removes the selection.

Multi-channel workflow

Ideal for mods who handle multiple streams: consistent actions without tab switching and a results list per channel.

Mod Alerts – notify other mods

After any action (ban, timeout, unban, suspicious) you can notify other mods who also have a dashboard account.

Sending an alert

After an action completes, click Notify other mods. A dialog opens with:

  • Recipients: Twitch usernames of the mods you want to notify (comma-separated)
  • Affected users: Pre-filled with the users from the last action (comma-separated)
  • Reason: Pre-filled with the reason you entered

Only users with an existing dashboard account can be added as recipients. If a name is not found in the system, it will be listed in the feedback as "not found" — all other recipients still receive the alert.

Previously used recipient names are saved as suggestions and appear as clickable chips below the recipients field the next time you open the dialog.

Receiving alerts

The Mod Alerts panel (bottom-right corner of the Mod Tool page) shows incoming warnings. Unread alerts are highlighted. A red badge in the sidebar shows the number of unread alerts.

Click Apply in Mod Tool to copy the affected users and reason directly into the corresponding fields — you can then act on them in your own channels with one more click.

Individual alerts can be dismissed with the × button. Use Delete all in the panel header to remove all alerts at once.

Both sending and receiving Mod Alerts requires an active Mod Tool plan or Premium subscription.

Permissions and plan

The Mod Tool is included in the Mod Tool plan or Premium. Twitch mod rights are still required.
