Quickstart (5 minutes)
- Invite the bot: On the dashboard start page click Add bot to my channel and, right below it, grant the bot mod rights (or run
/mod ByteMate in your Twitch chat).
- Language: Use the language switcher at the bottom left of the dashboard; it controls the dashboard itself and the bot messages in chat.
- Mod permissions: Click your avatar (top right) → Account settings. Further down you can choose which menu items your moderators may access, either for everyone or for specific mods. The list shows anyone who already has a dashboard account. Your moderators can then open your channel settings from their own profile menu.
- Bot commands: Under Bot → Bot Commands enable the bot's default commands; the tab next to it is where you add your custom ones.
- Chat Alerts: Bot → Chat Alerts lets you enable notifications for all Twitch events (follow, sub, etc.).
- Watchtime: The bot can track viewer watchtime—turn it on early under Bot → Watchtime. You can also import your StreamElements history there.
