Chat Alerts

Chat alerts automatically notify your chat about new followers, subs, raids, or other events. Configure here which messages ByteMate should post.

Basic configuration

• Master toggle: Enable or disable each alert type individually.
• Message template: Use placeholders like {user}, {amount}, {target}.
• Cooldown: Minimum spacing in seconds between alerts.
• Only when live: Optionally send only when your stream is live.

Supported events

Follows & refollows

• Automatically greet new followers.
• Different texts for first follow vs. refollow are possible.

Subs & resubs

• Placeholders for tier ({tier}) and months ({months}).
• Optionally trigger the clip player (combined with auto-shoutout).

Raids

• Dynamic adjustment based on raider size ({viewers}).
• Preparation for auto-shoutout (!so) via commands.

Bits & tips

• Define thresholds for minimum amount.
• Include notices for goals or thank-you lists.

Best practices

• Keep it short and crisp, use emojis sparingly.
• Night and day setup via duplicate alerts with different cooldowns.
• Test alerts in Preview before going live.
